We’re a desert-dominated state experiencing a drought that’s likely to be exacerbated by climate change; we’re in a lawsuit with Texas over relative shares of what the Rio Grande brings us from Colorado on its way to Texas and Mexico; and our state engineer just quit, appalled by the woefully inadequate funding his department has been getting from the state.
