On the September 24th edition of La Politica New Mexico, hosts E. Shirley Baca and Jose Z. Garcia talked to Micaela Cadena and Charles Wendler, candidates for NM House District 33. In addition, Karen Trujillo, candidate for County Commission, District 5, was interviewed. The Mesa Redonda was be composed of Louis Biad and Mayor Diana Murillo Trujillo, of Anthony, NM.
On the September 19th edition of Speak Up, Las Cruces, hosts Peter Goodman and Walt Rubel talked to County Assessor candidate Leticia Benavidez. Her opponent, Christopher Schoonover, was invited to attend - and accepted the invitation - but didn't show up for the broadcast. Mr. Goodman is looking into what happened, because Mr. Schoonover had expressed enthusiasm about appearing.

La Politica New Mexico: State Representative Angelica Rubio and County Commissioner Kim Hakes9/17/2018
On the September 17th edition of La Politica New Mexico, host Dr. Jose Garcia presided over a discussion with Angelica Rubio, incumbent State Representative for District 35, and Kim Hakes, incumbent County Commissioner for District 5. Joining the discussion were Shirley Baca, Arturo Uribe, and Dolores Connor. The primary question: How well are we being governed by the state legislature and the County Commission?
On the September 12th edition of Speak Up, Las Cruces, hosts Peter Goodman and Walt Rubel were scheduled to have a discussion between the two Dona Ana County Commission District I candidates. However, John Zimmerman wasn't able to make it, so they talked to Lynn Ellins exclusively. In the first part you can hear them stalling a little bit as they were hoping Mr. Zimmerman would show up. Since a new county clerk had been hired the day before, they started the show with a discussion about that before getting into Mr Ellins' background, qualifications and views.
On the September 10th edition of La Politica New Mexico, Dr. Jose Garcia and Elisa Sanchez (substituting for E. Shirley Baca) presided over a roundtable discussion with a powerhouse "A-team" of local political observers - Louis Biad, Arturo Uribe and Ken Glove. They discussed the New Mexico Congressional District 2 race, the Governor's race, and the Sheriff's race.
