It looks at the complicated nature of the local culture in Las Cruces, suggesting that art plays a key role in the development of the city. Saul Ramirez is a local multimedia artist and art historian who explores themes of decolonization in their work. They graduated from NMSU with a BFA in Studio Art and a BA in Art History in 2018, and they served in the City of Las Cruces Public Art Board in 2020.
