Inspired by Heston, U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, made a similar vow last week, though it will be tougher to bury him with the object of his devotion.

For nearly 20 years throughout his various positions as a teacher, an architect and a Las Cruces City Councilman, he has been an outspoken and visible advocate for the arts.
