Here's our press release for the fund raiser:
Radio Que Tal 101.5 FM
News Release Media Contact: Rob McCorkle, KTAL 101.5 FM (830) 460-0424; [email protected] July 8, 2020 Las Cruces Community Radio Celebrates Third Anniversary LAS CRUCES – Las Cruces’ sole community radio station has been broadcasting now for almost three years. July 26 marks the third anniversary of KTAL 101.5 FM going on the air throughout the Mesilla Valley. Radio Que Tal’s compelling blend of eclectic music programs and public affairs shows featuring authentic local voices continues to attract a growing audience in Dona Ana County. Local talk shows, as well as popular nationally syndicated shows, such as Democracy Now and The Moth, also can be heard online at www.lccommunityradio.org. During the ongoing pandemic that has impacted individuals and businesses alike, KTAL radio has endeavored to keep the community informed by airing weekly Covid-19 updates and interviews with public health officials, and by working with the Las Cruces Independent School District to broadcast live the local high school graduation celebrations held in May at the Field of Dreams. Keep up with the latest KTAL news by visiting our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/radioquetal101.5fm Due to the impact of the coronavirus that demands social distancing, KTAL’s Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2nd annual Roadrunner Revue benefit event scheduled for later this year at the Rio Grande Theater. Instead, Las Cruces community radio will be holding a third anniversary fundraiser online and during live shows from Aug.1 through Aug. 8 to raise funds necessary to keep the all-volunteer, non-profit radio station on the air. Listeners are invited to provide what support they can during the fundraiser by visiting the KTAL website and hitting the “donate” button, and while there, make a comment on what they think of current programming and suggest how KTAL can better serve the community. |
Please become a member of KTAL-LP and contribute on the Donate page. In addition to funds, you can donate equipment.
