Thanks to the New Mexico Local News Fund, KTAL radio has received a generous grant of $8700 to help expand our revenue through two exciting projects:

Live streaming Speak Up Las Cruces every week

Soon we will begin live streaming our popular Wednesday morning program Speak Up Las Cruces. We’re testing the setup as this is being written, and we plan to launch by mid-May. Then you can watch hosts Peter Goodman and Walter Rubel on Facebook as they broadcast live!  ​

Doña Ana Data


We’re very pleased to be working in partnership with the Center for Community Analysis, to begin producing Doña Ana Data. CCA is a primary source of statistics on poverty and social issues in Doña Ana County, and together we will produce a monthly series of 2 minute spots based on this data. This is a brand new project both organizations, which we hope will be successful bringing this information to the public.
