Hubbard’s Music ‘n’ More is our Featured Sponsor in our July/August Newsletter

Hubbard’s Music ‘n’ More, located across the street from KTAL at 108 Wyatt Drive, was one of KTAL’s earliest underwriters. We are proud to feature them in our first "KTAL Sponsors" feature in the newsletter!

Hubbard’s traces its roots to 1979, when “Pops” Hubbard, who played saxophone on the side with various Las Cruces bands, lost his job in the oil industry and purchased Melody Music in the old Loretto Shopping Center. Pops employed his teenage son, Dru, to help him in the store.

The full-service store specializes in guitar and drum sales, plus instrument and audio accessories, and offers music lessons and a full range of instrument repairs and modifications. It is also heavily invested in the local live music scene. Hours are 10-6 Monday-Friday and 10-5 Saturday. Hubbard's website is at http://www.hubbardsmusicnmore.com/. or they can be reached at druhubbard@gmail.com or 575-526-8884. Let Dru know you heard about Hubbard's from KTAL!

Thanks, Dru, for your support!

Dru went off to college and then chose a music career as a drummer, playing in the Footnotes and the Pack, which courted record deals in Houston and Nashville. After the Pack broke up, he returned to Las Cruces in 1994 to work with Pops at a time when Hubbard’s Music, as it was now called, moved to a bigger store on Foster Road. Pops passed away in 2006 and Hubbard’s moved to its current location on Wyatt Drive in 2007.
